A linha editorial chamou-se lazúli, nome inspirado para um conceito brilhante: preencher um espaço cultural de edição e de divulgação de obras no âmbito da literatura, do ensaio e das artes plásticas e musicais, contemplando igualmente a reedição de obras esgotadas no mercado, assim estabelecendo pontes de uma acção concertada de cooperação na área dos países do Mediterrâneo, as quais nos ligam raízes profundas, culturais e afectivas, que a história consagrou. lazúli [lazuli] was the name of this publishing series. The naming was inspired by a brilliant concept: to fill a cultural space of edition and diffusion of works in the areas of literature, essay and the arts (plastic and musical), which included also the reissue of out-of-print books. The idea has been to establish bridges within a systematic action of cooperation in the area of the Mediterranean, to which we are attached by means of deep roots, both cultural and affective. [from the book flap] This is the reason why each book has two covers, in a specular play between Portuguese and Arabic.
